Over the past few months it has been such a thrill to see the world of live events come back to life. I’ve been busy again for the first time since 2019, and it’s just so exciting to be back in action now that the city of Chicago is back to business.

I’m feeling very confident that covid is totally over and everything is great and there won’t be any more problems….

Okay, that may be a tad optimistic, but what I am confident about is that it’s going to be a great summer of exciting events, wonderful celebrations and gatherings of all kinds.

In April I got to shoot my first event in over a year, which was already great news, but even better than that is that the event was for the Joffrey Ballet!

The event was celebrating the premiere of a visual art project titled “Action Lines” which was being showcased on the “150 Media Stream,” a 150 foot long structure located at 150 N Riverside in downtown Chicago that is “dedicated to showcasing Chicago artists, culture and history alongside renowned and emerging artists from around the world.”

The evening also consisted of a panel discussion among the artists involved in the project, highlighting their process and the impact that Covid-19 had on their industry at large.

All-in-all, it was the perfect way to find myself back in the world of events and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph the celebration.
