CORPORATE EVENTS IN CHICAGO: DONT’ CALL IT A COMEBACK?
As more and more people get vaccinated and the possibility of in-person events begins to become more and more realistic, I thought it would be a swell time to continue sharing photos from some of my favorite events from the past that I never got around to including in a blog post!
During 2019 and early 2020 I had the opportunity to team up with the wonderful folks of CSI DMC, a national destination & event management company.
Before they had reached out to me about shooting one of their events, I didn’t even know what a “DMC” was but, as it turns out, it’s the kind of company that makes a perfect partner for a corporate event photographer like myself!
One of the last corporate events that I shot before Covid was a Cirque-themed celebration they threw for many of their hospitality clients and local hoteliers from around Chicago.
DOING PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO AT THE SAME EVENT!
Unique about this project, besides the fact that it was on the same day that Tom Hanks got covid, was that I was tasked with capturing both photography and video. It’s some that I’ve always wanted to try, but had never found the right opportunity to take a crack at it.
A corporate event, company party or experiential activation is the perfect setting to combine photography and video because, while everything’s important, nothing is that important. That’s a different situation than a wedding where I would never attempt to do photography and video at the same time. It would be…..not great!
