Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund Hall of Fame Dinner

Last month I had the opportunity to reunite with the folks at Mike Ditka’s Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund to do event photography at their 2019 Hall of Fame Dinner at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago!

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF) is a non-stock, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing financial grants and ‘pro bono’ medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need.

The Gridiron Greats were one of the first organizations that I worked with after moving to Chicago back when I was a video editor for a local production company, so when I got the call to help them out with some event photography I was thrilled!

The organization holds multiple events throughout the year, but their annual hall of fame dinner is the biggest by far and the one that generates the most funds for the various services it provides retired NFL players and their families.

I’m an occasional football fan myself (although it has been a lifelong challenge being a Minnesota Vikings fan) so it was awesome to see so many football legends coming out to support the cause, including the coach himself, as well as all the signed memorabilia they had up for silent auction.

Here’s a collection of my favorite images from the night!
